Turn this Quilting Retreat Planner PLR Pack Into Multiple Products https://loriwinslowonline.com/turn-this-quilting-retreat-planner-plr-pack-into-multiple-products/ Mon, 03 Aug 2026 21:16:53 +0000 https://loriwinslowonline.com/?p=12560 The post Turn this Quilting Retreat Planner PLR Pack Into Multiple Products appeared first on Lori Winslow .

Creating a planner for a quilting retreat from scratch can sound simple at first. You come up with an idea, make a cover, add a few useful pages, and turn it into a finished product.

In reality, there is often much more involved.

You need to decide what the customer will need before, during, and after the event. You have to organize the pages in a logical order, make sure important details are not overlooked, and create enough content for the planner to feel complete.

That Quilting Retreat Planner PLR pack from PLR Niche gives you a ready-made framework that you can customize, rebrand, expand, and turn into a product of your own. It removes much of the early planning work while still giving you plenty of room to be creative.

It can also be much more than a quilting planner. With a few thoughtful changes, the same pack can become the starting point for a variety of craft-themed retreat products.

Why a Retreat Planner Makes a Useful Product

Craft retreats are designed to be enjoyable, but they still involve quite a bit of organization.

Someone needs to keep track of the venue, attendee information, travel plans, meals, supplies, schedules, budgets, and projects. Retreat participants may also want a place to record goals, plan what they want to work on, and save their memories afterward.

A retreat planner brings all of those details together.

That makes it useful for retreat organizers, instructors, craft groups, and individual attendees. It could be offered as a printable planner, a digital download, a workbook for an organized event, or a physical book.

The Quilting Retreat Planner PLR pack already includes pages that cover the main stages of planning and attending a retreat.

These include:

  • Two cover options
  • Retreat At-a-Glance
  • Vision and Goals
  • Attendee Roster
  • Budget Tracker
  • Venue Details
  • Travel and Arrival
  • Meal Planning
  • Shopping and Grocery List
  • Daily planning pages
  • Quilting project pages
  • Sewing supply checklists
  • Fabric and notions inventory
  • Show and Tell and Retreat Fun
  • Retreat Memories and Reflections

Instead of trying to layout all of those sections yourself, you can begin with an organized structure and focus on turning it into a product that fits your audience.

This is not simply a finished planner that you promote to someone attending a quilting retreat.

It is a pack of PLR templates created for product creators.

PLR, or private label rights, generally gives you permission to edit and customize the content according to the terms of the license. You can make changes to the wording, design, layout, and branding before turning it into a finished product.

Ways to Customize the Quilting Retreat Planner

The easiest changes are often visual.

You can update the colors, fonts, graphics, and page style to match your brand or a particular type of customer. One version could have a traditional patchwork look, while another could use clean modern colors and minimal graphics.

You could also create a fun and playful version for casual quilting groups or a more polished version for professional retreat organizers.

However, customization does not need to stop with the design.

You can rewrite page titles, add instructions, expand the planning sections, or include new pages that make the planner more useful.

For example, you might add:

  • Room assignment pages
  • Emergency contact information
  • Workshop schedules
  • Instructor information
  • Quilt challenge planning
  • Block swap details
  • Fabric exchange lists
  • Vendor shopping plans
  • Machine maintenance checklists
  • Photo pages
  • Notes for planning the next retreat

You could also create several versions of the planner for different types of retreats.

A short weekend retreat may only need two or three daily schedule pages. A longer event may need more detailed planning, multiple workshop pages, and extra meal-planning sections.

Because you are starting with editable PLR, you can shape the final product around a specific customer rather than trying to make one planner work for everyone.

Turn It Into Other Craft Retreat Planners

One of the biggest advantages of this pack is that many of the pages are not limited to quilting.

The attendee roster, budget tracker, venue details, travel plans, meal planner, shopping list, daily schedules, goals, and reflection pages could work for almost any kind of creative retreat.

The main changes would be to the craft-specific project, inventory, and supply pages.

That makes the pack a strong starting point for several other products.

Crochet Retreat Planner

For a crochet version, you could replace the quilting pages with crochet project plans, yarn inventory pages, hook checklists, pattern trackers, and work-in-progress notes.

You might also add a yarn swap page, a list of techniques to practice, or a place to record pattern changes.

Scrapbooking Retreat Planner

A scrapbooking retreat planner could include layout ideas, photo lists, paper and cardstock inventory, embellishment checklists, tool lists, and album planning pages.

The show-and-tell section could be adapted into a completed-layout gallery or a place to record favorite techniques learned during the retreat.

Cross-Stitch Retreat Planner

For cross-stitchers, you could create pages for project plans, thread inventory, fabric details, needle and hoop checklists, and progress tracking.

You could also include a page for recording pattern designers, fabric counts, and color conversions.

Painting Retreat Planner

A painting retreat version could include project sketches, canvas sizes, paint inventory, brush checklists, technique notes, and inspiration pages.

It could be designed for watercolor, acrylic, oil painting, or a general art retreat.

Card-Making Retreat Planner

A card-making planner might include project lists, stamp inventories, die-cutting supplies, paper checklists, color combinations, and recipient or occasion lists.

It could also include production goals for creators who attend retreats to build up their card inventory.

General Craft Weekend Planner

You could remove most of the quilting-specific language and create a planner for mixed craft groups.

This version could use general project-planning pages, supply lists, shared equipment pages, workshop schedules, and group activity plans.

That may be especially useful for retreats where attendees work on different hobbies.

Create More Than One Product From the Pack

You do not have to use the PLR to create only one full-size planner.

The content can also be broken into smaller products or used to create companion items.

For example, you could create:

  • A retreat packing checklist
  • A craft project planner
  • A retreat budget workbook
  • A meal-planning pack
  • A travel and arrival organizer
  • A retreat memory journal
  • A supply inventory bundle
  • A mini planner for weekend retreats

You could also build a larger product line around the original planner.

Matching retreat invitations, name tags, room assignment cards, workshop notes, thank-you cards, certificates, or retreat games could all complement the main product.

This is where a PLR pack can become especially useful. Instead of looking at it as one set of pages for one planner, you can treat it as the foundation for a collection of related products.

Make the Finished Product Your Own

PLR saves time, but the strongest finished products usually include more than a new cover.

Before you begin editing, decide exactly who the planner is for.

Is it for an organizer running a paid retreat? A group of friends planning a casual weekend? A quilting guild? An individual attendee trying to prepare for the event?

That decision should guide the wording, design, and extra pages you include.

You can also make the product more original by adding your own experience, tips, prompts, or planning suggestions.

A retreat organizer may appreciate detailed checklists and attendee management pages. An individual crafter may care more about packing, project goals, and memory pages.

The more clearly you define the audience, the easier it becomes to turn the PLR into a focused product.

It is also important to make the design consistent throughout the planner. Use matching fonts, colors, graphics, and page elements so the final product feels intentional rather than assembled from separate pieces.

A plus Bootcamp Replays product image

A Faster Starting Point for Your Next Product

The Quilting Retreat Planner PLR pack gives you a useful starting point without locking you into a single finished product.

You can use it to create a quilting retreat planner, adapt it for another craft, divide it into smaller printable products, or expand it into a full retreat-planning collection.

The structure is already there. Your role is to decide who the product is for and how you can make it more useful, appealing, and unique.

For creators who enjoy working with craft niches, this kind of PLR offers a practical way to move from idea to finished product without having to build every page from the ground up.

A Simple A+ Content Solution for Busy KDP Publishers https://loriwinslowonline.com/a-simple-a-content-solution-for-busy-kdp-publishers/ Wed, 01 Jul 2026 17:40:43 +0000 https://loriwinslowonline.com/?p=12526 The post A Simple A+ Content Solution for Busy KDP Publishers appeared first on Lori Winslow .

]]>

You finish creating your book, upload the files to KDP, write the description, choose your keywords, and finally hit publish. By that point, creating A+ Content can feel like one more task you do not have the time—or energy—to figure out.

So, you tell yourself you will come back to it later.

The problem is that “later” often turns into never.

A+ Content gives you additional space on your Amazon book listing to show interior pages, highlight important features, explain who the book is for, and help potential buyers understand what makes your book worth choosing. It can be especially useful for coloring books, activity books, journals, planners, puzzle books, and other books where shoppers want to see what they are getting before they buy.

But knowing A+ Content is useful and actually creating it are two different things. You still have to decide what each section should say, choose the right images, turn your book’s features into benefits, and create graphics that fit Amazon’s modules.

That is where the A+ Content Creator GPT can help.

This specialized GPT is designed to help self-publishers create the copy and images for five A+ Content modules using their book cover and interior pages. Instead of starting from a blank screen, you receive a more organized starting point for presenting your book.

In this post, I will explain what A+ Content is, why it matters, how this GPT can make the process easier, and how you can receive my A+ Content course as a bonus when you purchase through my link.

What Is Amazon A+ Content?

Amazon A+ Content is the extra visual content that appears farther down on a book’s product page, below the regular book description and purchasing information.

Instead of relying only on a cover and a block of text, A+ Content lets you use a combination of images, headlines, short descriptions, and comparison sections to give shoppers a closer look at your book.

For self-publishers, this can be especially helpful because buyers often want more information before making a decision. Someone considering a puzzle book may want to see a sample page. A parent buying an activity book may want to know the recommended age range and types of activities included. A journal shopper may want to understand the layout, theme, and number of pages.

A+ Content gives you space to answer those questions visually.

Depending on the modules you choose, you can use A+ Content to:

  • Show several interior pages

  • Highlight the main features of the book

  • Explain who the book was created for

  • Share the benefits or experience the book offers

  • Introduce related books or a series

  • Add information about the author or publishing brand

  • Compare multiple books in your catalog

This content does not replace your regular book description. It works alongside it.

Your description gives shoppers the main written overview, while your A+ Content can make the book feel more tangible. It helps people picture what they will receive and how they might use or enjoy it.

That makes A+ Content more than a decorative extra. When it is planned well, it becomes another part of your book’s sales page and gives potential buyers more reasons to feel confident about their purchase.

What Makes Good A+ Content?

Good A+ Content does more than make your Amazon listing look polished. It helps potential buyers quickly understand what your book offers and whether it is the right choice for them.

The best A+ Content starts with the questions a shopper is likely to have.

What is inside the book? Who is it for? What makes it different from similar books? What will the buyer be able to do, learn, create, or enjoy? Does the interior match the style suggested by the cover?

Your modules should answer those questions clearly without overwhelming the reader.

Strong A+ Content usually includes a mix of interior previews, short benefit-focused text, and visual details that support the book’s main selling points. For example, instead of simply saying that a puzzle book contains 75 puzzles, you could explain that it offers hours of relaxing entertainment with large, easy-to-read pages. The number is the feature. The experience it provides is the benefit.

The images matter just as much as the words. Choose interior pages that represent the book accurately and show enough variety to give shoppers a useful preview. Avoid using several images that look almost identical. Each image should reveal something new about the book.

It is also important to keep the design consistent with the cover and interior. Similar fonts, colors, and visual elements can help the listing feel more professional and connected.

Finally, keep the copy short and easy to scan. A+ Content is not the place for long paragraphs. Clear headlines, concise descriptions, and relevant images will usually communicate more effectively than trying to include every detail about the book.

The goal is not to fill every available space. The goal is to make the buying decision easier.

A Faster Way to Create Your A+ Content

Even when you understand what good A+ Content should include, creating it can still take time. You have to decide which modules to use, write the headlines and descriptions, choose the right interior images, and design graphics that fit the space.

That is where the A+ Content Creator GPT can make the process easier.

This specialized GPT was created to help self-publishers turn their existing book files into a more complete A+ Content plan. Instead of starting from scratch, you provide the GPT with your book cover, several interior images, and basic information about the book.

From there, it helps create ideas for five A+ Content modules, including the written copy and coordinated images.

This can save a lot of time, especially if you tend to get stuck deciding what to say or how to present the book. Rather than staring at a blank page, you have a structured starting point that you can review, adjust, and personalize.

The process is especially useful for books where the interior is an important part of the buying decision, such as:

  • Coloring books

  • Activity books

  • Puzzle books

  • Journals

  • Planners

  • Workbooks

  • Low-content and medium-content books

You will still want to check the wording, make sure the images represent the book accurately, and confirm that everything fits your brand. AI should help speed up the process, not replace your judgment.

The biggest benefit is that it brings several parts of the project together. Instead of using one tool to write the copy, another to plan the modules, and another to create the graphics, the GPT helps guide the full process in one place.

For publishers who have several books waiting for A+ Content, that can make a task that once felt overwhelming much more manageable.

What You Need Before You Begin

The A+ Content Creator GPT is designed to make the process easier, but you will get better results if you gather a few things before you start.

First, have a clear image of your book cover ready. This helps the GPT understand the overall style, colors, and theme of the book.

You will also need several interior page images. The product recommends using six to nine pages, which gives the GPT enough variety to suggest useful modules and create visuals that show different parts of the book.

Choose pages that represent the book well. Try to include a mix of layouts, activities, designs, or features instead of selecting several pages that look almost the same.

It also helps to have a few basic details written down, including:

  • Your book title and subtitle
  • The intended audience
  • The main features of the book
  • The benefits it offers the reader
  • The type of experience the buyer can expect
  • Information about related books or a series, when applicable

You do not need to write polished marketing copy before using the GPT. That would defeat the purpose. However, the clearer you are about the book and who it is for, the more relevant the suggestions are likely to be.

Before uploading anything, double-check that the images are clear, correctly cropped, and free from unnecessary borders or background clutter. Low-quality images can make even well-written A+ Content look less professional.

Taking a few minutes to organize these materials at the beginning can save time later and help the GPT create content that feels more accurate, cohesive, and connected to the book you are promoting.

What the GPT Can Do—and What You Still Need to Know

The A+ Content Creator GPT can take much of the guesswork out of planning your modules. It can help organize your ideas, write headlines and short descriptions, suggest how to feature your interior pages, and create coordinated graphics for your book.

That makes it a valuable shortcut, especially when you know your book needs A+ Content but are not sure where to begin.

However, the GPT is still a tool. It does not replace your understanding of the book, your audience, or the purpose of each module.

You will still need to review the content it creates and ask yourself a few important questions:

  • Does the wording accurately describe my book?

  • Are the strongest features being highlighted?

  • Do the images give buyers a useful and honest preview?

  • Does the content match the style of my cover and brand?

  • Is any important information missing?

  • Does each module help the shopper make a buying decision?

You should also understand how A+ Content works inside Amazon KDP, including how to choose modules, upload the finished graphics, add image keywords, connect the content to the correct book, and submit it for approval.

This is where knowing the strategy behind A+ Content becomes important.

The GPT can help you create the pieces faster, but you will get better results when you understand why those pieces are being used. That knowledge allows you to make stronger choices, catch mistakes, and adjust the content instead of simply accepting the first version the tool produces.

Think of the GPT as your creation assistant. It helps you move from an empty page to a complete draft. Your job is to provide direction, review the results, and make sure the finished A+ Content represents your book clearly and professionally.

My Bonus for Purchasing Through My Link

The A+ Content Creator GPT can help you create your modules much faster, but knowing how to use the finished content is just as important.

That is why I am offering my 5-Day A+ Content Success Bootcamp as a bonus when you purchase the GPT through my affiliate link.

You will receive access to the recorded training sessions and course materials, so you can work through the lessons at your own pace. The bootcamp was created to help self-publishers understand what A+ Content is, how the different modules work, and how to use them to create a stronger Amazon listing.

During the training, you will learn:

  • What A+ Content is and why you may want to add it to your books

  • How to create a basic author bio

  • How to plan and create image-based A+ Content

  • How to combine images and text effectively

  • How to create comparison content for related books

  • How to approach the different parts of your A+ Content without feeling overwhelmed

You will also receive the templates and assignments that were included with the original bootcamp. These resources can help you plan your content and put what you learn into action.

The GPT and the course are designed to support two different parts of the process.

The A+ Content Creator GPT helps you generate ideas, copy, and graphics for your modules. The 5-Day A+ Content Success Bootcamp helps you understand why you are using those modules and how they fit into your Amazon listing.

Together, they give you both a faster way to create your content and the background knowledge you need to review, personalize, and publish it with confidence.

From Yard Sales To Digital Products: My Journey Through Online Business Models https://loriwinslowonline.com/from-yard-sales-to-digital-products-my-journey-through-online-business-models/ Sun, 25 Jan 2026 19:59:10 +0000 https://loriwinslowonline.com/?p=12492 The post From Yard Sales To Digital Products: My Journey Through Online Business Models appeared first on Lori Winslow .

]]>

If you’ve ever wondered whether it’s really possible to build an online business from scratch — without fancy credentials, a big budget, or a perfectly mapped-out plan — let me reassure you right now: it absolutely is.

I know this because I didn’t start with a polished brand or a digital product empire.

I started with yard sales.

How My Online Business Journey Actually Began

Long before PLR packs, digital courses, or Amazon KDP books entered my world, I was spending weekends digging through boxes at yard sales and thrift stores. I focused mostly on books — finding undervalued titles, cleaning them up, and reselling them on eBay.

It wasn’t glamorous, but it worked.

That simple model taught me some incredibly valuable lessons early on:

  • How to spot demand
  • How to price items competitively
  • How important clear listings and descriptions are
  • And most importantly — how good it feels to make money online

That first “you made a sale” notification was addictive in the best way.

Scaling with Amazon FBA

Once I felt comfortable selling books on eBay, I transitioned into Amazon’s FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) program. For a couple of years, this was my primary business model.

With FBA, Amazon handled the storage, packing, shipping, and customer service. My job was sourcing inventory, sending it into Amazon’s warehouses, and optimizing my listings.

This stage of my business taught me a different set of skills:

  • Inventory management
  • Systems and processes
  • The power of automation
  • How quickly fees and margins matter

It was profitable — but also very tied to physical inventory, shipping schedules, and constant sourcing.

Eventually, I found myself asking a bigger question:

What if I could create something once and sell it over and over again?

Discovering Digital Products, PLR, and Courses

That question led me into the digital world.

I started creating digital products, experimenting with PLR (Private Label Rights) content, and eventually building online courses. This shift changed everything.

Instead of managing boxes and shipments, I was:

  • Creating content
  • Designing products
  • Building systems that could scale
  • Helping other people learn and grow

PLR became a powerful tool in my business because it allowed me to create faster, test ideas, and serve different audiences without starting from zero every time.

From there, I expanded into selling products through Amazon KDP, combining my love of publishing with digital leverage. Workbooks, planners, journals, and low-content books became a natural extension of everything I had learned up to that point.

The Truth About Online Business Models

Here’s the part I really want you to hear:

You don’t need to pick the perfect business model on day one.

I didn’t.

I moved from:

  • eBay reselling
  • to Amazon FBA
  • to digital products
  • to PLR creation
  • to courses and KDP publishing

Each step built on the last. Nothing was wasted.

Every online business model teaches you skills you’ll use later — even if you eventually move on.

You’re Allowed to Change Directions

One of the biggest misconceptions I see is that choosing an online business model is permanent.

It’s not.

You’re allowed to:

  • Start small
  • Pivot when something no longer fits
  • Layer new income streams on top of old ones
  • Build a business that fits your life — not the other way around

What matters most is starting with something, learning as you go, and staying open to where that path leads.

If you’re brand new and wondering whether you can really do this, let my story be proof that you can.

I didn’t begin with a master plan. I began with yard-sale books and curiosity.

Everything else came one step at a time.

And if you’re standing at the beginning right now — you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be.

Want to Skip the Trial-and-Error Phase?

If reading this made you think, “I’d love to build something like this — but faster,” you don’t have to figure it all out on your own.

Today, I focus on teaching and creating — helping others build digital products, use PLR strategically, and create income streams that don’t rely on inventory, shipping, or constant sourcing.

On my product page, you’ll find:

  • Step-by-step courses that show you exactly how I approach digital products
  • Training on PLR, low-content publishing, and online income foundations
  • Practical guidance designed for real people — not tech experts or influencers

👉 If you’re ready to move from experimenting to building with intention, here’s where I recommend starting:

  • Want to create printables or planners? Most students begin with How to Create a Planner in PowerPoint, where I walk you step by step through designing a product you can actually sell — even if you’re not a designer.
  • Want to start a blog the right way? The best place to begin is Build a Profit‑Ready Website, where I show you how to set up a site with monetization in mind from day one (not just pretty pages).

Both options are designed to help you build something real — without guessing, overcomplicating things, or wasting months going in circles.

Turn Your Creative Ideas into Passive Income—Even If You’re Just Getting Started

Selling printables is one of the simplest ways to create a flexible, low-overhead income stream. Whether you’re designing planners, wall art, games, or trackers, WooCommerce gives you the power to sell directly from your own website—without paying marketplace fees or battling for visibility – and without the ongoing monthly fees like you have with Shopify.

✅ Want step-by-step help? I offer a course – Build a Profit Ready Website – that walks you through how to set up a WordPress site designed for selling printables from start to finish, including WooCommerce.

Why WooCommerce is Perfect for Selling Printables

WooCommerce is a free WordPress plugin that turns your website into a fully functioning e-commerce shop. Here’s why it’s a great choice for printable creators:

  • No Middleman: You control the platform, pricing, branding, and customer experience.
  • Unlimited Products: Sell as many digital products as you like – instantly delivered after purchase.
  • Customizable: With thousands of themes and plugins, you can make your shop look and work the way you want.
  • Scalable: Whether you’re selling 5 items or 500, WooCommerce grows with your business.

It’s ideal for creators who want full control without monthly platform fees – and it’s easier to set up than you might think. I know that I put off setting it up for years, and then it turned out to be so simple, that I kick myself for not having done this sooner :).

WooCommerce Store Setup Tips for Printable Sellers

Here are a few must-do steps when setting up your WooCommerce shop for digital products:

  • Product Listings that Convert – Use square mockups to showcase your printables in use (like framed wall art or filled-in planners). Write clear descriptions and explain what the buyer receives, including file type and size.
  • Enable Instant Digital Downloads – WooCommerce allows you to upload your digital file and automatically deliver it to the customer after purchase – no manual sending required.
  • Add Payment Gateways – Connect Stripe, PayPal, or both to accept secure payments. WooCommerce makes it easy with built-in integrations.
  • Use SEO-Friendly Titles – Use keywords your audience is likely searching for. This helps your products show up in Google and your site’s internal search.

💡 If the tech side feels overwhelming, my Build a Profit Ready Website course breaks it down into bite-sized lessons. You’ll go from blank screen to live shop in just a few focused sessions.

Marketing Your Printables: Attract, Engage, Sell

Once your shop is set up, the next step is driving traffic. Here are a few beginner-friendly ideas:

  • Pinterest: It’s a search engine for visual content. Pin your product mockups, how-to posts, and freebies to drive traffic back to your store. There’s even a plugin that connects directly with WooCommerce.
  • Email List: Offer a free printable in exchange for joining your list. Then keep in touch with product launches and seasonal offers. Many email providers integrate directly with WooCommerce, so it’s super easy to set up.
  • Blog Posts: Write helpful content that relates to your printables. For example, “5 Ways to Use Printable Wall Art for a Nursery” can link directly to your shop. This is your chance to market your products for free.
  • Bundles & Sales: Occasionally group related items together at a discount to increase the perceived value. Again, so easy within WooCommerce to create sales.

Delight Customers with a Smooth Experience

The easiest way to grow your printable business is with repeat customers. WooCommerce helps with:

  • Automated Delivery: Buyers get their files right away—no waiting or chasing.
  • Follow-Up Emails: Use email plugins or integrations to thank customers and offer related products.
  • Support Materials: Include a simple user guide or FAQ in your product download to reduce confusion and refund requests.

Encourage reviews and always respond to questions with kindness and professionalism. A positive customer experience leads to loyalty and referrals.

Ready to Take the Next Step?

Once your printables are ready and your WordPress site is live, the real magic happens inside your shop—and WooCommerce is the engine that makes it run. From setting up digital products and customizing your checkout to automating delivery and boosting your sales, WooCommerce is packed with features that can take your shop from basic to brilliant.

If you’re ready to go beyond the basics and want expert guidance on using WooCommerce specifically for selling digital products like printables, I highly recommend Aimee K.’s in-depth WooCommerce for WordPress training.

If you want to see what her training is like, you can pick up her Setting Up WooCommerce RoadMap Free Ebook – and there is a deal on the checkout page for her kickstart version of her full WooCommerce Training.

I personally used Amy’s training to help me set up my first WooCommerce shop. Whether you’re dreaming of your first sale or scaling to a full-fledged shop, getting WooCommerce set up right is the key—and Amy’s course gives you the roadmap.

OpenAI has changed from DALL-E to native image generation with ChatGPT 4o, and that is great news for us low content product creators.

One of the biggest issues with AI image generators has been how to tweak something to make it better without it completely changing the image to something brand new, and this solves that problem.

If you haven’t seen it action yet, prepare to be amazed!

You no longer are starting over with each new request, you are continuing the conversation, like you are already doing with your written chats, and that is what really makes this a game changer.

Getting Started with Image Generation in ChatGPT 4o

You do have access to this feature whether you have the free or paid version.

Ideally you will want to work on your desktop for image creation.

To get started, you want to open the page in your browser, and start a new chat.

Here’s a sample prompt for your to try out:

“Create an image of a young woman with red hair in a ponytail, working on a laptop in her sunny home office. She is happy and there is a soft light in the room. She has her laptop open and is typing on it and a coffee mug is on her desk with some other home office decor surrounding her.”

This is my result:

Now, this is where the magic happens, lets change the color of her sweater:

The lighting changed a little bit too, but other than that it is the same image.

You can continue to make changes about many different things, such as telling it to change it from a young female with red hair to a senior male or having the person work on their laptop on a wraparound porch outside rather than an indoor home office.

Try to make 1 or 2 changes at at time – if you ask for too many changes at once, you are less likely to get expected results.

Writing Image Prompts That Deliver What You Want

The good news is, working with ChatGPT 4o is much easier than some of the more complex image generating tools online. But you still have to know how to prompt for what you need and want.

If possible, you want to talk about what emotion the image should convey, any camera angles you may want, the lighting in the picture, the background or lack of background if you want it transparent, the color palette to be used, any specific objects you want in the image, or the style.

For example, if you need an image for a weight loss blog post try something like this: “Create an image of a woman in her 30s wearing athletic clothing and smiling as she goes on a morning walk on the sidewalk. The background shows a tree lined suburban street on a bright and sunny day with a blue sky. She’s holding a water bottle and is very confident looking.”

The more detail you can give it, the more accurate your output will be.

If you’re going to be asking for content for a specific social media platform, you might also add something about the size and shape of your image, such as a square image or, if you want something for a Facebook header, for example, you would specify the size.

And, guess what, you can add text – and it is usually accurate.

Her hair ended up in a ponytail when I added the text. I also just asked for text, and didn’t specify any styling. You can also tell it what the text should be and where it should be placed or which type of font you want.

You may want to use this feature to create an product image, then you will want to include other details such as the product you are selling, the niche you are in, and whatever emotional tone you’re trying to convey.

The image that it initially gives you is just a starting point. You can play around with it to get what you want, whether it’s a different font, layout, or graphic.

You can also have AI create infographics for you. These are very effective in social marketing as well as embedding in your blog as a way to distill information into something easy to read.

Using this prompt:

“Create a vertical infographic for Pinterest that shows five numbered time-saving meal prep tips. Use pastel colors for headers & icons for each tip. Include a title at the top that says: “Family Meal Prep Hacks” in a playful script.”

I did have to make a few attempts because it kept cutting off the final tip, until I added the word numbered and then it did great.

You will also notice that I didn’t give it the tips, since it’s ChatGPT, it can do that work for you too :). It did change the tips when I added the numbers, but the tips still meet the criteria.

For the numbered image, I would also take that into PowerPoint or Canva and add a shape over the black text at the bottom and add my branding over the top of that.

Tweaking the Image Output to Perfection – Or Not

No image generator gets it right all the time because it’s not able to read your mind (it sure would be nice if it could sometimes – lol). But with a few small tweak prompts, you can usually get what you want.

The best part about using ChatGPT is that you don’t have to repeat your prompt, you get to just continue the conversation.

Things you can ask:

  • Change colors of clothing
  • Change the background
  • Zoom In or Out
  • Correct the number of fingers or toes
  • Change facial expressions
  • Additional variations
  • Change the output ratio

Using a Starter Image as a Prompt

Sometimes, you might find a stock image that you really like, but you need tweaks to it. You can use ChatGPT 4o to edit that stock photo and use it as a foundation to build on for your own graphics. It helps you personalize images for your own brand.

To add an image, use the + symbol and add the image from your computer, then tell it if you want any changes. You can even add your own product images to a mockup image and have ChatGPT 4o merge them together.

This feature allows you to keep a consistent style across multiple images as well.

You can also use this as a way to create full color images of your coloring pages – a great help when you are designing your cover.

Now you know have lots of ways to put the image generator to use. Don’t forget to save your prompts that get you the best results so that you can remind ChatGPT of that previous conversation.

Feel free to share what you create in the comments below.

Are you looking to add a new income stream?

Low Content products may be just what you are looking for. Low content products are basically products that people fill in themselves, such as planners and journals – you as the product creator are just providing the framework for your customer.

If you are anything like me, you already have had some exposure to using PowerPoint as school or work, so take what you already know and expand those skills. I found using PowerPoint so much less intimidating than using PhotoShop – the norm at the time I started my low content business – and that gave me the confidence to actually create and offer products for sale.

Over time, I also learned that I could share what I have learned to help you build your own business. These 11 courses will help you to create a variety of products to build your own side hustle or new business.

Why PowerPoint?

As I mentioned previously, one of the reasons I chose PowerPoint is that I was already somewhat familiar with the program and I also was comfortable using Microsoft Word which has a lot of similar features. If you already have experience using PowerPoint, and you have it installed on your computer, you are ready to get started.

  • Familiar with the Software
  • Installed on my Computer
  • Allows me Complete Customization

I can create any size product that I need in PowerPoint – and let tell you the Re-use Slides feature will save you a ton of time. Right from the start I was able to create professional looking products – and I don’t have any design training.

Here’s a Brief bit about each course–

Design dated/undated planners, layouts, and add functional elements
  2. Create Digital Stickers in PowerPoint
Make functional sticker sets for use in digital planners
  3. Create Coloring Pages in PowerPoint

Design fun, giftable products perfect for Etsy or KDP extras
  7. Create Clipart in PowerPoint
Use PowerPoint shapes to build original, resellable clipart
  8. Using Icons in PowerPoint
Creative ways to use & alter icons already included
  9. Create a Digital Phone Planner in PowerPoint
Build a tap-and-swipe planner designed for mobile use
  10. Create a Digital Recipe Planner in PowerPoint
